IAA Conference Update: Learn about Color Matching

Learn about Color Matching and More in Nashville
The 27th Annual Educational Conference is only three weeks away. The program has something for everyone. We are excited to announce the participation of many top-notch presenters. Our many thanks to all of them!

Saturday Workshops
Join your colleagues at the hands-on workshops on Saturday, May 11. Have you ever wanted to know how to evaluate your abilities at color matching? How accurately you discern color and how could you improve on this? Paul Tanner has spent years researching ways to create the illusion of human skin and hone his coloring techniques all with science.  Paul will be on hand to work with you and show you tests you can take to find how accurately you discern color.  This is invaluable knowledge for you to have to help you expand your abilities as a medical artist.

Pre-Conference Course
Participants will have the opportunity to meet and interact with Professor Anders Tjellström of Goteborg, Sweden, an internationally recognized expert in the rehabilitation of craniofacial prosthetic patients through the use of osseointegrated implants. As the keynote speaker, he will share his many years of experience through lectures and demonstration of the latest surgical techniques. Due to the extensive hands-on experiences this course is offering, registration is limited to the first 30 participants. Take advantage of this unique opportunity by securing a space now!!
Participate in multiple hands-on experiences! Determine the surgical location and the actual placement of the latest Vistafix implant components for a nasal, orbital and auricular bone anchored prosthesis through the use of simulated models, pig skulls, and/or bone fragments.

Awards Banquet
Remember to sign up for the Denim and Diamonds Awards Banquet when registering for the conference. This event, which requires a separate tickets, will be a full evening of entertainment. Our southern-style dinner, awards ceremony, and live Nashville bluegrass music will take place in a beautiful historic private venue that was built in 1889 and renovated in 2010. Play a game of Cornhole, challenge Lady Luck with Poker and Roulette or get an old-timey picture taken during this memorable evening of fun with old friends and new.

Walter Spohn Educational Fund OTOART Raffle: Call for Donations
The WSEF is excited to host another OTOART raffle at the awards banquet!  We ask all attendees at the Nashville conference to bring a donation for the raffle. Bring along a fun and unique item (or items!) that represent your neck of the woods and then watch all your colleagues fight over it!  We have some extraordinary donations lined up and we can’t wait to share them with you. The WSEF will also be unveiling a very special OTOART ear with a Nashville twist!
